Stars Above Hawaii
Monday, October 26 2009
Stars Above Hawaii is Hawaii's gateway to the stars
for evening entertainment at the Ko Olina Resort.
Come and see the universe up close and personal
under the clearest night skies on Oahu at the
beautiful Ko Olina Resort. With 11- and 14-inch
telescopes you will see in color Saturn and its
rings, Jupiter and its bands, and multiple moons of
both these planets! You will see star clusters,
nebulae stellar nurseries where stars are being born
and galaxies millions of light years away!
At Stars Above
Hawaii, you will be a star explorer and will have
the opportunity to view stars, star clusters,
planets, galaxies, and nebulae. Use hand-held
astronomical GPS devices, giant binoculars, and very
large computerized telescopes. Learn Hawaiian
astronomy and take the Polynesian star line laser
One-hour star show
programs take place under the night sky each night
by reservation. The star show is for every one of
all ages. You may "Explore the Stars" at 8 and 9
p.m. or "Romance Under the Stars" at 10 p.m. All
star show programs are the same except the 10 p.m.
star show, which is for adults only. This is
moonlighting at its best.
If you have a large
group of ten or more people that would like to
attend a star show program, you may Reserve the
Universe for a discounted group price. Reservation
information on each of the star shows with prices
can be found at the website:
www.starsabovehawaii.com or by calling 291-2464.
There is also an annual star pass membership program
(Star Explorers of Hawaii) for kama'aina and
military families, as well as special programs
(Shooting Star Program) for school children, Boys
and Girls Scouts of America, and Civil Air Patrol
Cadets. Keep looking up and reach for the stars!
